The Patriots cornered the market on goals (hahaha), putting 3 balls in the back of the net while yielding none.  Caleb Oh got the Patriots on the board early, heading home in the 5th minute.  The goal came off a corner kick, with a crashing Oh slamming it goalward, where it snuck across the line despite the best efforts of a slew of Springbrook defenders.  Richard Hum may be claiming credit for this goal, so we'll have to see how that works out during a water break at Monday's practice!  The remainder of the first half saw several more good opportunities go by the wayside, until Oh again crashed home a header with only 18 seconds remaining before halftime.  Just as the DeMatha last minute goal was a psychological dagger in the season opener, this goal did the same to the Blue Devils.

The second half started much like the first, with Wootton putting significant pressure on Springbrook's final third.  Another corner kick led the Patriots to a three goal margin, with Caleb Oh handling the assist duties and serving to David Silversmith for the upper 90 rocket finish (that's what he said).  Jeremy Yeager preserved the shutout with a 71st minute save of a Springbrook penalty kick, and the Patriots coasted through the final few minutes for the 3-0 victory.  A noteworthy performance was turned in by Jonathan Noulowe, who wreaked havoc with the Springbrook defense with his powerful runs through the final third of the field.  Richard Hum was dynamic in his playmaking role, and Sang Park came off the bench to provide solid defending from the holding midfield position.  Erik Gunnarson, Zach Markenson, Oh, and Silversmith continue to put in solid work on the back line, and Nozick and McDonell tortured fullbacks with their speed and skill.  Congratulations, everybody!
