Join us at 7pm this Wednesday at Schmizza Public House for a coach meeting / training designed for head coaches. This is a mandatory session for all registered Babe Ruth, Majors & Minors head coaches and highly recommended for assistant coaches. All Rookies, PeeWee & TeeBall coaches are welcome to attend, strengthening their volunteer coach tool box.
Led by Gresham High School Coach & GBYBS Coaching Director, Gabe Shields, this session will review the evaluation process & player drafts, how to communicate with parents and deal with tough issues, how best to work with challenging players and how to get your team off on the right foot. Coach Shields will also touch on how you as a coach can prepare your baseball players for any high school program. Time will be available at the end of the session for a general Q&A.
Coaches are welcome to come as early as 6:30pm to grab a seat in the back room, place an order and catch up with fellow coaches. We plan to be done by 8:30pm, however one thing we know about coaches - you all will most likely stick around until 9pm or longer!
