Upper Division: The primary objective of our Upper division is to help players progress from a pitching machine to kid pitch and then to advanced play with base stealing and lead offs. Along the way, players focus on development of proper technique in hitting, fielding, base running and pitching along with the intangible skills of being a good teammate.
Rookies (machine pitch): Makes use of a pitching machine to allow for more hittable balls at the plate and more action in the field. Fear of actually being hit by a pitched ball is diminished, making the game safer and improving playing confidence. Players have their first opportunity to register for tournament play during our summer season... They will also have their first opportunity to learn pitching and throw from a mound. Seniors Division: A great option for players to want to continue their baseball playing experience beyond Cal Ripken, regardless of participation on a local high school team. All Senior Division teams play with official baseball (high school) rules with 90' base paths and 60' 6" pitching distance.
